What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk/ Optometric Assistant position at Fairway Park Optometry Center?
THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL POSITION
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our company, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support as needed throughout the office. In addition, training will be provided to become an optometric assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and direct phone calls promptly
- Manage email and text correspondence and respond to inquiries
- Schedule appointments, retrieve insurance information and keep doctor schedule full by doing active recall of existing patients, collect payments and post them to patient file
- Assist with order entry and data entry tasks
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or similar role is a plus
- Familiarity with medical receptionist duties is beneficial
- Proficient in calendar management and scheduling appointments
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and excellent grammar for patient communication
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
WE WILL PROVIDE OPTOMETRIC ASSITANT TRAINING.
