Assistant Pro Shop Manager- Golf Course

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Manager to join our team at Fairways of Woodside Golf Course. This individual will work closely with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the golf course during evening and closing shifts. As the Assistant Manager, you will oversee staff, customer service, and daily operations, ensuring a high standard of service and safety for all patrons. Hours: Closing Shifts- Weekday, and one weekend night

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in overseeing daily operations of the golf course during closing hours.
• Supervise and manage staff during the closing shift to ensure efficient operations.
• Ensure all areas of the course, including the clubhouse, pro shop, and facilities, are properly maintained.
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues promptly.
• Monitor course conditions and address any maintenance or operational concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations.
• Handle closing procedures, including cash handling, reconciliation, and ensuring all records are up-to-date.
• Assist with event coordination, when applicable, to ensure smooth execution of evening events.
• Work closely with the Golf Course Manager to implement strategies for improving customer satisfaction and course performance.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality or golf industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of golf operations and course management is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to handle cash and operate point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as light lifting and maintaining the grounds, if necessary.
