Event Planner - Volunteer Position

We are Fairytales and Tiny Tails Rescue, a nonprofit rescue dedicated to rescuing kittens and giving them the love and care they deserve—turning their tiny tails into amazing tales. To continue our mission, we rely on fundraising events, adoption events, and community outreach to support our lifesaving work. That’s where YOU come in!
We are looking for a detail-oriented and energetic individual to join our close-knit team as an Event Planner. Your work will directly impact our ability to raise funds, connect with the community, and find loving homes for our rescue kittens.
What You Will Do:Event Planning & Coordination
- Plan, organize, and coordinate fundraising events, adoption events, and community outreach activities.
- Work with vendors, venues, and sponsors to secure event locations, supplies, and partnerships.
- Develop event timelines, task lists, and budgets to ensure smooth execution.
Creative Strategy & Promotion
- Brainstorm and implement engaging event themes and activities to attract attendees.
- Collaborate with our social media and marketing team to promote events and drive attendance.
- Assist in designing event materials such as flyers, banners, and invitations.
Community & Volunteer Engagement
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers to help with event setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Communicate with local businesses and sponsors to secure donations and sponsorships.
- Ensure all event attendees have a fun and engaging experience while learning about our mission.
Logistics & Execution
- Manage event-day logistics, including setup, registration, and troubleshooting any issues.
- Ensure events align with our mission, brand, and fundraising goals.
- Track event outcomes and gather feedback to improve future events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in event planning, fundraising, or volunteer coordination (preferred but not required).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to think creatively and problem-solve under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with people.
- A love for animals and a desire to support rescue efforts.
Time Commitment:
We are very flexible! This role can be done remotely for planning, but you may need to attend events in person to ensure smooth execution. You will also need to stay in regular contact with the founder/CEO.
Please note: This position is VOLUNTEER and unpaid.
