Job Title: Compliance Manager
Job Description: The Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the property management team in ensuring regulatory compliance with HUD requirements. This role involves staff training, certification tracking, EIV monitoring, voucher reconciliation, and serving as a liaison to HUD. Attention to detail, ability to adhere to strict deadlines, and strong communication skills are essential. Also responsible to oversee the completion of duties of the compliance specialist and the property managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete and navigate voucher processing for timely submissions.
- Address and resolve complex HAP voucher issues.
- Conduct training for Compliance and Property Managers on compliance procedures, including hands-on sessions.
- Track and certify staff EIV (Enterprise Income Verification) status, and assist new hires through the EIV access process.
- Follow up with property staff on certification progress by the 20th of each month.
- Review monthly EIV report binders to ensure all reports are generated and properly filed by the 1st of each month.
- Monitor and resolve income discrepancies, and meet with Property Managers on the 15th of each month to review delinquency reports and deceased tenant policies.
- Conduct monthly reviews and updates of EIV policies and ensure they are implemented correctly.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with the Tenant Selection Plan, RAR, House Rules, AFHMP (Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan), and other applicable policies.
- Review and approve gross rent calculations to ensure compliance with HUD standards.
- Serve as a liaison to HUD for all compliance-related matters.
- Review TRACS errors by the 20th of each month in preparation for HAP submission.
- Perform monthly HAP voucher reconciliation and assist with processing special claims as needed.
- Generate and submit a monthly compliance report reflecting compliance measures and site progress, prepared by each Occupancy Specialist.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
