Faith Foundation Resources is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated After School Teacher for our HYPE (Helping Young People to Employment) Program in Flint, Michigan. The HYPE Program is designed to empower and inspire youth through job readiness training.
Position Overview
As a HYPE Coordinator for the HYPE Program, you will play a crucial role in nurturing the academic, social, and emotional growth of our students. You will work closely with a team of educators and mentors to create a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
· Execute our interactive lesson plans and activities that align with the HYPE Program's goals and objectives
· Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes learning and personal growth
· Collaborate with other staff members to plan and execute special events and projects
· Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of attendance and participation
· Communicate regularly with program director regarding student progress and program activities
· Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students
· Assist in the supervision of students during program hours and field trips
· Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Experience working with youth
· Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage students of diverse backgrounds
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Creativity and flexibility in adapting to students' needs and interests
· Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
· CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
· Ability to pass a background check
Compensation & Benefits
· Competitive salary: $12 - $16 per hour
