What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary position at Faith Lutheran Church - Washington, IL?
The purpose of this position is to assist the Pastor, volunteer leaders, and the congregation with the ongoing administration of the church. We foster a relaxed, comfortable, and supportive environment.
Duties:
- Manage phone/email inquiries
- Create weekly service bulletins (with support of Pastor)
- Support bill payment processes
- Assist in preparing monthly/yearly reports
- Interact with church financial/council members
- Handle clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
Compensation:
- $15 to $17 an hour, based on experience
- Two weeks vacation
Hours:
- 20 hours / week
- Flexible: 5 days a week/4 hours a day or 4 days a week/5 hours a day
Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point
