Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn in Worcester, MA. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring our guests enjoy a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment during their stay. You will be assigned to clean 16 rooms during an 8-hour shift, maintaining Hilton's high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Room Cleaning:
Clean and service guest rooms in accordance with Hilton's standards, ensuring each room is spotless, sanitized, and ready for guests.
Tasks include making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing amenities, and removing trash.
Ensure all room supplies, linens, and amenities are replenished as needed.
Attention to Detail:
Inspect each room for cleanliness and condition, making note of any maintenance issues or damage.
Report any damaged or missing items to the supervisor for resolution.
Time Management:
Clean and service 16 rooms per shift, maintaining a high level of efficiency and quality.
Meet or exceed the department’s productivity standards while adhering to Hilton’s quality standards.
Guest Interaction:
Ensure all guest requests are met in a timely and professional manner, including extra amenities or room adjustments.
Maintain a positive attitude and provide excellent customer service to guests as needed.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Follow all safety, cleaning, and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff.
Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other housekeeping team members and supervisors to ensure all rooms are cleaned efficiently and effectively.
Assist in maintaining inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linen.
Qualifications:
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (e.g., linens, cleaning supplies, vacuum).
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Ability to move and push heavy cleaning equipment and carts.
