Fall River Health Services is looking for a Part-Time Laundry Worker is responsible for the effective cleaning, processing, and distribution of linens, and other textile items to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Schedule: Working 1:00 p.m - 6:00 p.m. 25 hours a week
Responsibilities:
Laundry Operations:
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and garments according to established procedures.
• Operate and maintain industrial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and finishing machines.
Quality Control:
• Inspect items for stains, damage, or contamination; take appropriate action as necessary.
• Ensure all items are processed according to hospital infection control policies.
Inventory Management:
• Assist in inventory control of linens and supplies, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of laundry processed and monitor equipment usage.
Safety Compliance:
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Team Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with other laundry staff and departments to meet the hospital's needs.
• Assist with training new staff as required.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Keep the laundry area clean and organized, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.

The average Salary for this position is $15.00- $17.00 an hour, depending on years of experience.
