revised) QUALIFICATIONS :
Certifiable / Licensed by MA DESE as a Vocational Construction Craft Laborer Teacher in compliance with the following licensure requirements :
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five years of recent (within the last seven years), full-time employment experience directly related to the construction craft laborer occupation
- Passing score on the Vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test (VTEL) or Communication and Literacy Skills Test (MTEL)
- Passing scores on the written and performance tests for Construction Craft Laborer
- Associates / Bachelor's degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught a plus.
Reports To : Director of Career and Technical Education
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :
To help each student develop competence in the skills and knowledge required by the various construction trades to assist the journeymen in each; to motivate students to apply their knowledge in the laboratory setting; to encourage students to explore construction trades in order to develop a career pathway.
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : In accordance with the Fall River Educators' Association contract. Continued employment is contingent on work performance, program need, and funding.
