General Qualifications and Requirements Proven success as a superintendent or district-level leader with experience managing large educational organizations Deep knowledge of instructional best practices, curriculum development, and educational research Strong communicator, capable of articulating a clear vision and managing complex conversations effectively Experience with long-range planning, including capital projects and school construction Ability to build and manage a large operating budget Ability to create a school culture of respect, inclusivity, and high expectations for all students Maine Department of Education Superintendent certification (or eligibility for Maine certification) Advanced degree in Educational Leadership or a related field; Doctorate preferred The Falmouth School Board is prepared to offer a competitive multi-year contract with a regionally competitive salary and benefits package.
