What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance Technician position at Famicos Foundation?
An experienced Building Maintenance Technician is needed to maintain the housing stock at Famicos Foundation, Greater Cleveland’s oldest and most respected affordable housing developer and social services provider. Located in Glenville, Famicos Foundation owns or manages nearly 1000 apartments and homes for low wage-earning families, seniors, the disabled and chronically homeless.
This is a first-shift position although there are on-call responsibilities that are rotated among staff. Under the Maintenance Supervisor, you will work with the Property Manager to ensure the safety and comfort of residents while preparing for HUD and REAC inspections.
You must have reliable transportation, a high level of skill in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry as well as the ability to quickly turn over apartments and a willingness to learn computer software.

Requirements are:
- At least 5 years of trades experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to pass drug screen, including nicotine
- Valid Driver’s license required
- Up-to-date automobile insurance
- Ability to meet on-call responsibilities
