Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Building Maintenance professional to join Punderson State Park. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance, with a focus on both electrical and mechanical systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining building systems, ensuring safety, and providing excellent customer service to all our visitors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, including troubleshooting and using tools such as an ohmmeter.
- Execute mechanical repairs and ensure that all equipment is functioning properly.
- Carry out plumbing repairs in public restrooms and shower houses.
- Preform carpentry-based skills to complete projects around the park and campground.
- Read and interpret schematics for various building systems to facilitate effective repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and visitors.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform various repair tasks.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Ability to read schematics and understand logic controllers for building systems.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Customer service experience is highly desirable, ensuring a positive experience for all building occupants.
