Job Summary:
The Pantry Coordinator oversees the daily functions of the Pantry in accordance with agency standards, federal, state, and local standards, as well as guidelines and regulations to ensure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis. This position will ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This role will oversee daily volunteers and their tasks. The Pantry Coordinator will also coordinate daily food pick-ups, deliveries, and organizing to expand food security.
Essential Functions:
Coordinates all aspects of the operations of the Pantry Program and support the In-Kind inventory for all programs of Families in Transition.
- Orders food for pantry, monitors nutritional content, tracks inventory, and receives daily deliveries, keep budget for foods ordered, tracks all data requirements and other statistic details.
- Provide courteous service to all guests; demonstrate empathy and a desire to help others within the community that are experiencing food insecurity.
- Actively engages and encourages volunteers to support all areas of the pantry including but not limited to: scheduling drivers for fresh rescue program, determining the roles of volunteers each day at the pantry, considers short and long term roles for volunteers, engages in recognition of volunteers
- This role assists of daily receiving of food, sorting, and coordinating the food to dining services.
- Ensures food pantry, office space, storage room, etc. are all clean, according to all Safe Serve Standards and Health Department licensing and well organized.
- Ensures that all individuals and families are properly registered.
- Manages and maintains confidentiality participant data input and provides monthly statistics report to Director, Food Services.
- Operate manual equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience/Certificates/Licenses):
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years’ experience in non-profit environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in customer service.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be willing to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Safe Serve certified.
