The Family Education Coordinator (FEC) serves families that are at risk of losing their children to the foster care system. The primary mission of this position is to help parents gain needed skills in parenting, self-awareness, home environment, co-parenting, protecting children, and much more.
Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree preferred: Psychology, Social Work, Education, or another like field.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Email
Pass a background check through DHHS.
Completion of 10 hours training
Reliable transportation

Family Education Facilitator
Job Description:
The Education Specialist is responsible for the education of parents that are at risk of losing their children to the Foster Care System. The Education Specialist serves in the homes of the families and teaches 25 adaptive sessions pertaining to: Parenting skills, home environment, safety in the home, and much more. Reports are sent to the DHHS caseworkers weekly.
Responsibilities: ·Provide support and education to families in the state of Utah that are referred to Family 7 Foundations. ·Recognize, respond, and adapt to the educational needs of the family. ·Report back successes and struggles to the DHHS case workers after each session. ·Share with the team any best practices or teaching methods that are new and innovative. Continual curriculum development and improvement. ·Participate in gathering and interpreting data to have a successful data driven program and a continual quality improvement program. ·Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students. ·Maintain positive relationships with parents, children and case workers. ·Monitor progress of students. ·Complete required training and continued scheduled training. ·Remain compliant with state and federal regulations - specifically, but not exclusively HIPAA law regulations. ·Ensure that all students are successfully meeting their academic goals. ·Maintain attendance and travel records. ·Follow the mission of Family 7 Foundations.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
