What are the responsibilities and job description for the Per Diem Family Peer Support Services Worker position at Family and Children's Association?
The Opportunity
Credentialed Family Peer Advocates will work under the Children Family Treatment Support Service (CFTSS) Program to provide client centered support services to families raising/caring for a youth who is experiencing social, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges in their home, school, placement and/or community.
Family Peer Advocates will create a partnership with the families that is individualized to their needs and will build on family strengths to enhance their capacity to care for their child.
- Responsibilities
Conduct visits in the home and community setting to educate clients on parenting - techniques and develop advocacy skills.
- Assist families in securing community resources to strengthen their support
- system.
- Facilitate groups, family engagement activities or other networking opportunities for
- clients.
- Complete all required paperwork in accordance with funding and agency
- requirements and submit by required deadline.
- Complete development and safety plans, session notes, discharge plans and all
- other pertinent documentation within required timeframes.
- Collaborate with Case Manager on shared client cases to ensure quality delivery of
- services.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned to ensure the effective operation of the program
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must have lived-experience as the parent or primary caregiver of a child with a social, emotional, behavioral, mental health, or a developmental disability.
- Provisional Certification Required with Professional Family Peer Advocate credential obtained within 18 months of employment
- Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Valid and clean driver's license.
Compensation Information
- The competitive compensation range is reflected with FCA's framework, culture, and values. Individual pay decisions will vary based on skills and experience' while still allowing for growth.

- Salary: $22/Hour
- Schedule: This role is Per-Diem, up to 19 hour per week, nonexempt
- Location: Garden City
