GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Outing Coordinator plans, organizes, and oversees a wide range of outdoor activities and programs to promote physical health, team building, and recreational enjoyment. The job involves designing safe and enjoyable outdoor experiences that promote physical fitness, team building, and a love for the outdoors. They must have a passion for nature and possess the ability to plan and conduct a variety of outdoor activities. The ideal candidate will enjoy outdoor adventure, have exceptional organizational skills, and have the ability to motivate and guide individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Mentoring children and teenagers under licensing guidelines (Title 22)
- Ensure safety guidelines and procedures are followed during all activities
- Monitor weather and environmental conditions to ensure participant safety
- Coordinate logistics for trips, including transportation and accommodation
- Maintain and inspect equipment for safety and functionality
- Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling, budgeting, and record-keeping
- Develop and oversee various outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, and fishing.
- Ensure accurate member counts and manage outing reservations and contacts.
- Work with other staff members to ensure the smooth execution of programs.
- Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to promote outdoor programs.
- Develop and implement programs designed to engage diverse groups of participants
- They set out the outing reservations and contacts.
- They provide a list of members or participants at least three days in advance, allowing them to prepare the entire assignment and/or offer it at least three times in advance of the event. Additionally, it is best to rate your groups so that quicker groups may be placed at the front of the field.
- Players are required to arrive at the course at least one hour before the scheduled start of the event.
- They plan for payment and settle the fees according to the contract, as those members included in the outing will not have a hard time preparing for the fees because the outing coordinators should have collected the fees from them beforehand.
- They inform the members regarding the club rules.
- They ensure that members are appropriately dressed.
· Travel between offices, units, and business locations during the workday.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must be able to sit and stand for long periods, Handle, grasp, and feel objects and equipment, lift up to 50 pounds, reach with hands and arms, extend both arms above the head and/or go below the waist, bend or squat, walk and climb stairs and ladders, hear in a moderately noisy environment, and use a phone or headset for extended periods.

The social environment is collaborative, with interactions not just limited to clients but also involving teamwork with other professionals in social services, legal, and housing sectors. MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to complete the required training and incorporate the techniques taught
- Must be able to pass CPR and First Aid Training
- Pass a physical and a TB Test.
- Pass a background check and be open and honest about any convictions
- Outing coordinators must possess strong communication skills.
- They must have experience working with children.
- They should have experience working or living in a communal setting.
- They must have experience in environmental education.
- They should have hands-on experience in curriculum development.
- Having volunteer coordination experience is also helpful.
- They should have strong organizational skills.
- They must have and show enthusiasm.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Human Services preferred.
A high school diploma, its equivalent (GED), or an associate's degree in arts is accepted.
Experience:
1-3 years experience working with at-risk youth.
Event planning and coordinating skills are a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience working with youth and adolescents in a group home setting.
Experience working with clients facing issues with domestic violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes.
Experience working with those in crisis.
Commitment to providing client-centered, empowerment-based services to victims of crime.
Other:
Bilingual preferred but not required.
Some evening, weekend, and overnight work will be involved
Valid Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
Able to pass a background check.
Proof of Auto Insurance and Valid Registration
Have a good driving record (no more than 2 points).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.61 - $23.65 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
