Duties
- Provide one-on-one and group peer support to individuals in recovery.
- Share your lived experience in a professional and meaningful way to inspire and motivate others.
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement individualized recovery plans.
- Assist clients in accessing resources, services, and community supports.
- Facilitate educational workshops, support groups, and skill-building activities.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and service providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Document interactions and progress in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Lived experience with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, or other relevant life experiences.
- Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) or willingness to obtain certification.
- High school diploma; additional education or training in social services, psychology, or a related field is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries.
- Knowledge of recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and community resources.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
