Position Overview: This position is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources for the Family Church Network.
Reports To: Business Administrator
Prerequisites

- Minimum of ten years’ experience in Human Resources administration or related area.
- Experience in employee data, Human Resource systems, compliance, employee benefits, payroll, time and attendance, performance management, compensation planning, recruiting, and onboarding and learning management.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in project management, business process improvements and change management.
- Experience in vendor management, including system evaluations, contracts and service level agreements.
General Responsibilities
- Respond to internal and external inquiries and contacts.
- Direct recruiting, hiring and onboarding staff.
- Coordinate the professional development of department staff.
- Manage personal and team workflow, including reporting of team performance.

- Oversee departmental budget, including compliance with necessary pre-approvals.
- Create measurable performance metrics for department staff.
- Attend staff meetings, planning sessions, retreats as required.
Specific Responsibilities
- Lead and prioritize the workload of Human Resources staff.
- Provide weekly status of all HR related topics to management (open positions, new hires, separations, status changes, employee relations).
- Oversee the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of all paid staff.
- Create and coordinate professional development opportunities for paid staff.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership regarding determinations of background checks for potential employees.
- Manage HR inquiries, including reporting on the time to completion, accuracy and completeness of responses provided for messages submitted to the Human Resources inbox.
- Ensure employee files are current and contain the appropriate information.
- Oversee the performance management process.
- Manage employee benefit programs, including open enrollment, vendor management and invoicing.
- Create and implement benefit plans, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and stay updated on changes in legislation
- Develop appropriate marketing strategies, define roles and responsibilities of hiring team, and develop service-level agreements to ensure an effective and efficient recruitment lifecycle while minimizing cost-per-hire.
- Provide leadership and counsel to staff in dealing with concerns of performance, attitude, work-ethics, motivation.
- Oversee various staff training opportunities, including webinars, live instruction and online instruction.
- Ensure compliance with the policies and procedures contained in employee handbook, making recommendations for changes as needed.
- Maintain employee job descriptions, including compensation planning and employee development.
- Provide quarterly reports on pertinent information to be shared with the church’s Personnel Committee.
- Serve as, or appropriately delegate, the interface between the human resources department and campus pastors.
- Plan, direct and administer human resources programs.
