We are looking for 1-2 Veterinary Client Service Representatives/Receptionists to work alongside our experienced veterinarians. Family Companion Animal Care Center is a new, privately owned veterinary Urgent Care Center located in Mentor, OH! We have been open since June 2023. We are searching for skilled, passionate, and engaging veterinary client service representatives/receptionists to join our team and be a part of our growing animal care center. Our urgent care center offers in-house diagnostics (blood analyzers, urine analyzers, digital x-rays, and ultrasound), surgery suite, technician area, break room, doctor suite and more! Our current hours of operation are:
Monday: 8am - 8pm
Tuesday: 8am - 8pm
Wednesday: 8am - 8pm
Thursday: 10am - 8pm
Friday: 10am - 8pm
Saturday: 8am - 4pm
Sunday: 12pm - 5pm
We are closed on all major holidays.
Family Companion provides urgent care services to pets with urgent NON-life threatening illnesses. We serve as the in-between a general practitioner and emergency/referral center. If patients are felt to need more supportive care, additional diagnostics, or overnight care, they will be sent to a local 24/7 emergency hospital – we provide no overnight care/hospitalization.

Responsibilities
- In this administrative role, you check-in our animal patients, update their records and owner information, schedule appointments, process payments, and assist clients if with financing options such as care credit or payment plans
- You may also be asked to help prepare prescriptions or provide home-care instructions to pet owners
- Greet clients as they arrive
- Answer phones
- Gather and certify pet and owner information
- Maintain records
- Prepare prescriptions and explain instructions
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and computer skills are required
- You must enjoy working with both people and animals
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent people skills
- Basic math skills and computer literacy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Comfortable working with animals
- Ability to work as part of a team
