What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alma Service Center Tech Driver position at Family Farm and Home?
Family Farm and Home is a family owned and operated company based out of Michigan. Our first stores opened their doors in April 2002. Currently we operate 71 retail locations in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Maryland and Pennsylvania . We cater to our customers' needs by supplying a wide variety of products in departments such as tools, hardware, automotive, pet, work and casual clothing, footwear, farm supplies, horse and livestock feed, bird food, lawn and garden, and alternative heating.

Alma Service Center Tech Driver
Must be able to pass a DOT physical, the physical is paid for by the company and just monitor's health to assure you are capable to drive. No smoking in vehicle. The purpose of the job is delivering items we have repaired to farm and home stores and at times the customers home. Also picking items up that need to be repaired and bringing them back the our shop. Securing the loads and accident free is the main key. At times these items can be heavy such as log splitters and generators you would have to put generators in the back of the truck there is always a team member at the store that will assist lifting the item however there are times a mower or unit will not start and you would need to push the unit onto the trailer and secure the load. With that being said our trailers are equpied with winches to help with bigger items. We go north as far as Charlevoix and Gaylord and also South as far as Indiana therefore there are days you could start at 730am and not get back to our shop until 7pm. We are not in a huge demand at this time so we will be looking for the right fit for our team meaning we are not desperate and want to make sure you are the correct fit for our team and will also enjoy the atmosphere at the job.
