We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to attorneys in estate planning matters, ensuring seamless case management, document preparation, and client communications. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and enjoys working in a client-focused legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in all aspects of estate planning, including preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related legal documents.
Manage client files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with firm policies.
Coordinate and facilitate the execution and notarization of estate planning documents.
Maintain client communication via phone and email, providing updates and gathering necessary information.
Conduct legal research related to estate planning laws and regulations.
Assist with asset verification, funding trusts, and preparing estate inventories.
Organize and track case deadlines, meetings, and follow-ups.
Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and maintaining case management systems.
Qualifications & Skills
Paralegal certification or relevant legal experience in estate planning.
Strong understanding of estate planning procedures and legal terminology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software (experience with Wealth Counsel is a plus).
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
