Job Description: Patient Care Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for optical patients
- Answer phone calls and inquiries from patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient care services
- Obtain and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Assist with patient check-in and registration process
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting appreciated but will train right canidate.
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
