Podiatric Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing administrative support within a clinical environment, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and have experience in the clinic setting.

Duties

• Provide medical administrative support by managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
• Assist healthcare professionals in clinical tasks, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations.
• Maintain knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with staff and patients.
• Support coding processes to ensure accurate billing and documentation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with clinic protocols and procedures.
• Utilize knowledge of physiology to assist in patient assessments and care plans.
• Ensure the clinic environment is organized, clean, and welcoming for patients.

Experience

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in internal medicine or emergency medicine, is preferred.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Experience with vital signs monitoring and basic clinical procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour
