What are the responsibilities and job description for the Med appointment specialist for individuals with ID position at Family & Friends?
The job would be best for a person with a good driving record and a basic understanding of medical terminology needed to communicate with a medical office. This person is needed to assist a nursing department with taking individuals with ID to their doctor appointments and be able to communicate the reason for the visit, get paperwork signed and communicate the results of the appointment back to the nursing department. Appointments fall during the day time hours, Monday through Friday. there may be times when the staff person would be doing the appointments with the nurse.
When not running appointments the person maybe taking residents out for recreation, providing some personal care or doing in house activities.
An applicant would need to be able to lift a wheelchair into the back of a van and be able to push the wheelchair to the site. The residents are over 60 and live in a small personal care boarding home located in a rural setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $39,500.00 - $43,680.00 per year
