POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Finance is responsible for planning, controlling, and directing the Finance and Revenue Cycle departments’ activities, and ensures their compliance with applicable regulating agencies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Advise and assist the leadership team and others in fiscal, organizational, and procedural matters.
- Direct and oversee all finance and revenue cycle functions including but not limited to accounting, budget management, purchasing, financial, compliance auditing, financial reporting, billing, and data processing.
- Oversee the organization’s financial accounting and revenue cycle systems and functions to ensure strong internal controls, resulting in a clean annual audit, in full compliance with general accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Plan and prepare the annual budget, generate, and analyze financial statements, cash flow statements, balance sheet and perform ongoing financial analysis.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely required financial management and revenue cycle reports based on internal and external reporting list and timelines.
- Lead the annual year-end close, independent audit and tax return preparation.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations, including updating and revising internal control policies and procedures as needed.
- Create and enforce financial policies and procedures that are aligned with GAAP, and federal, state, and local requirements for monitoring of revenue and expenditure.
- Represent the Center at professional meetings and conferences as requested.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Participate as a member of the management team and attends all meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
