Medical Lab Supervisor - Northside Clinic (Full-Time or Part-Time) 041125
LOCATION: Northside
CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT – Full-Time or Part-Time
REPORTS TO: Clinic Manager
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: Provides professional team-based care to patients. Assists in the continuum of care and in educating
patients on their patient centered medical home. Responsible for the overall operations of the clinic laboratory.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)
1. Coordinate activities and cooperates with other clinic departments, in a team approach, to achieve objectives and projects, while
maintaining a proper perspective of interdepartmental relationships.
2. Responsible for the overall function and operations of the clinical laboratory, including but not limited to, equipment
maintenance and repair, CLIA inspections, quality control and safety precautions.
3. Provide general and technical supervision over the lab services and all testing procedures and policies.
4. Handle work and vacation scheduling for all laboratory personnel.
5. Orientate, supervise, and evaluate lab personnel.
6. Performs related work as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a science related field or medical technology.
2. Two years’ experience in areas where tech expertise will be utilized. This training or experience must be in moderately or highly
complex lab testing.
Preferred: Word processing and computer experience.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: ASCP certification required
ALTERNATIVE TO MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Years of experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
