Job Description:
The Staff Physician - Walk-In Center/Urgent Care will participate fully in the care of patients seen in the Walk-In Center for same day appointments and urgent care.
Educational Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.
Experience Required:
Family Practice Residency or Med/Peds Residency required; A minimum of two years of experience in treatment and care of all members of family unit required; experience in urgent care setting or emergency room preferred. Experience in the role of Primary Care Physician preferred.
Professional Licensure/Special Skills and Certification Required:
Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (Med/Peds). Must have current licensure by Massachusetts Board of Registration for Medicine, current DEA/MA Controlled Substance Registration; BLS required.
Must be able to work evenings, rotate for weekend and holiday shifts.

Ability to deal with sensitive information in a highly confidential manner.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, co-workers, health care professionals, funders and other regulatory agencies.
Bilingual in English and another language appropriate to the health center's patient population preferred, but not required.
Ability to function independently with minimal supervision, and to plan, coordinate, and carry out those tasks necessary to meet the job responsibilities.
Awareness of resources available within the health center to accommodate the needs of patients.
Commitment to providing cost conscious, fiscally responsible, timely, efficient, effective, safe, patient-centered, culturally competent, equitable, and participatory health care.
Processes personal health information in accordance with FHCW HIPPA policies and procedures.
