What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Medical Office Assistant position at Family Health Centers, Inc.?

- Prepare patients for various treatments and diagnostic procedures.
- Administer / arrange for various diagnostic tests and treatments as instructed by provider.
- Obtain specimens for laboratory analysis. Perform tests as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records and others records of service rendered.
- Make and track all appointments and / or referrals, including community resources as directed by the provider.
- Follow correct procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous waste material.
- Comply with all applicable infection control and safety procedures
- Participate in daily team pre-visit planning (ie, huddles).
- Exhibit compliance with FHC's corporate compliance policy.
- Ensure patient has visit summary documents.
- Perform job activities in ways that are respectful, courteous and responsive while interacting with patients, visitors and co-workers.
