Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their medical history, current health concerns, and treatment goals.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs, incorporating acupuncture techniques and other traditional Chinese medicine modalities.
- Perform acupuncture treatments using sterile needles, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide patient education and guidance on lifestyle modifications, nutrition, and self-care practices to support overall well-being.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment notes, progress reports, and billing information.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and alternative medicine practitioners, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest research, developments, and advancements in acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, integrating evidence-based practices into your treatments.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, ensuring compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and clinic policies.
- Participate in professional development activities, including continuing education, workshops, and conferences, to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- California State licensure as an Acupuncturist required
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Licensed Acupuncturist required.
- Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Requires an active Class C California driver's license, proof of liability insurance at $100,000, on vehicle used. No more than 2 points in past 12 months; No suspensions in last 2 years for moving violations; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving within 5 years. No license revocation in 7 years.

$41.00 - $57.77If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
