NOC Technician
Job Profile Summary
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician is a self-directed professional that monitors and analyzes the network and systems information technology infrastructure for the organization. This infrastructure is comprised of Windows and Linux servers, MS SQL, IIS, Apache, Azure SaaS/PaaS, Microsoft 365, VMware virtualization, Active Directory, mobile devices (BYOD and corporate owned), HPE/Aruba, Meraki, VeloCloud and IoT medical devices. This position will monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot all systems and networks and assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of incidents involving these systems.
The NOC Technician performs tasks at the direction of Manager, IT Operations & Infrastructure and the (Sr.)NOC Engineers related to our disaster recovery and business continuity plan’s processes to meet strict RPOs and RTOs while maintaining SLAs; assists in analyzing configuration changes on the system (network, hardware, software); analyzes security, reliability, and availability of the infrastructure to support the continued growth of the organization; performs capacity planning and analysis; provides guidance and mentorship to IT Technical Support staff; works in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment with other NOC and Security Operations Center (SOC), Technical Support, Telecom, Project Management and Product Development staff.

Job Roles
- Monitors and analyzes the operation of the FHCSD wide-area, local area and wireless networks including the associated hardware, software, and SaaS solutions.
- Acts as an escalation point for IT Technical Support staff for any system or network related incidents.
- Assists in installing, monitoring and administering extensions of the network to accommodate new sites, systems, and equipment.
- Monitors and evaluates the usage of the Internet and Intranet web sites for performance, capacity planning and security policy compliance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists troubleshooting physical DELL & HPE servers, SAN/NAS storage appliances, VMware, LAN/WAN/WLAN equipment, Azure SaaS/PaaS, integrations and software problems.
- Understands and interprets error conditions and messages and assists in performing required corrective actions.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
- Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. DRIVER REQUIREMENTS: Licensed for a minimum of 3 years; No more than 2 violations and/or accidents within 3 years; No vehicle related suspensions/reinstatements; No DUI, reckless or felony Driving with 7 years.
- At least 2 year of experience in Information Systems and in the installation, configuration, administration, and management of data network hardware and software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CompTIA A required.
- CompTIA Network , Microsoft Technology Associate, CompTIA Security and Cisco CCNA preferred.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the skills, knowledge and ability to perform the essential job duties, and which meets any required state or federal certification requirements.
Experience/Specialized skills (including Language)
- Intermediate level knowledge and training in network management, TCP/IP troubleshooting, wide array of hardware and software technologies.
- Must be detail-oriented and committed to provide work of consistently high quality.
- Must be self-sufficient, innovative, and able to work under minimal direct supervision.
- Some training and experience in server and network hardware and software, including MS Solutions and VMware and Azure virtualization.
- Intermediate level troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Working knowledge of and demonstrated competency in applying current concepts of network design; LANs, WAN’s, WLAN’S, segmentation, gateways, routers, network switches, hubs, TCP/IP and Ethernet protocols, etc.
- Working knowledge of and demonstrated competency in applying current concepts of system design; OS, CIS hardening, GPO, virtualization, Just in Time Access, Just Enough Access, API/information integrations, identity Provider/SSO, high-availability, backup/restore best practices, etc.

25.74 - 36.81If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
