ESSENTAIL FUNCTIONS:
1. Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
2. Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
3. Transport patients and residents to medical appointments, services and special trips as scheduled through the Transportation Department. Be attentive to the daily driver schedule.
4. Assist with loading and unloading passengers.
5. Assist in coordinating patient transport activities and services with other departments as requested.
6. Function as a liaison between the Transportation Department and other departments.
7. Interact as necessary with nursing and other support departments to ensure the quality and timely delivery of service to patients/residents, physicians, visitors and staff.
8. Ensure the proper operation of transportation related software programs and systems.
9. Maintain a safe, healthy and orderly work environment to ensure dispatch equipment is in good, clean working condition.
10. Recommend and participate in the solutions of on-going problems or trends regarding patient/resident transport.
11. Develop and promote positive effective customer service relations with patients/residents, family members, visitors and staff.
12. Keep the Transportation Manager and/or Fleet Supervisor informed of activities, needs and/or concerns.
13. Participate with assigned transportation staff with on-call coverage as needed.
14. Assist with after-hours non-emergency transportation services as requested.
15. Follow proper communication procedures to ensure driver, resident and/or passenger safety.
16. Maintain all the necessary driver, insurance and CDL license requirements as directed by Family Health West.
17. Complete all necessary pre/post trip vehicle safety inspections.
18. Assist with routine interior and exterior cleaning/washing of all Family Health West owned vehicles.
19. Other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licenses: Current Colorado Driver’s License required.
Colorado Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
CNA license preferred; not required.
Certifications: Proof of current personal automobile insurance.
Experience: One-year related experience and/or training preferred.
WAGE STARTS AT $21.00
