Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Preschool Teacher with a valid State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Teacher's Permit or will apply for the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Teacher's Permit to join our team.
The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged 3 to 5 years old in accordance with the goals and curriculum plan of Family Matters program.
Responsibilities:
- Create a safe and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development for children.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum for children in accordance with the center's philosophy and policies.
- Provide individualized care and attention to meet the unique needs of each child.
- Establish positive and supportive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on their child's progress and development.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Adhere to all licensing regulations and standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings as required.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Valid Teacher's Permit issued by State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, or will apply within 2 weeks of being hired.
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Must pass background check and TB test.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
