Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Worship Leader to guide our congregation in worship through music and spiritual leadership. Responsibilities
- Lead congregational worship services through music, ensuring a spiritually uplifting experience.
- Educate and mentor musicians and vocalists, fostering their growth and development in their craft.
- Collaborate with church leadership to plan and implement worship services that align with the church’s mission and vision.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate rehearsals, set lists, and special events.
- Select appropriate music that enhances the worship experience while considering the diverse preferences of the congregation.
- Organize and lead regular rehearsals for the worship team, ensuring preparedness for services.
- Engage with the congregation to encourage participation in worship activities.
- Stay current with contemporary worship trends and incorporate relevant elements into services.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in leading worship in a church or similar setting.
- Strong musical skills, including proficiency in playing an instrument (preferably guitar or piano) and vocal abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and instructions.
- Experience in mentoring or educating others in musical or spiritual contexts is highly desirable.
- A deep personal faith commitment with an understanding of biblical principles related to worship.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
