Client Support & Care Staff - Naugatuck, Waterbury, Wolcott, and Watertown Group Homes
Per-diem position
$17.25 per hour
$18.25 per hour once you complete your Med Certification
Must have a valid CT Driver's License
**Job Description:**
The Client Support & Care position involves providing habilitative assistance and care to clients in various Agency programs. Responsibilities include direct daily care, teaching, supervising clients, and maintaining accurate records. Must be detail oriented.
**Qualifications:**
Successful completion of Medication Certification Program, PMT, CPR, and First Aid training program required. A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is necessary.
**Responsibilities:**
- Supervise clients, monitor their status, and location.
- Assist in preparing and implementing Individualized Plans of Service.
- Teach, supervise, and assist clients in daily living activities.
- Monitor client progress on goals and ensure client rights protection.
- Complete incident reports and medication error reports.
- Implement behavioral plans, occupational, physical, speech therapist recommendations.
- Develop and implement recreation and community participation activities.
- Work cooperatively with Clinical Director, Consultants, families, and schools.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping of services provided to clients.
**Physical Demands:**
Requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, exert over 100 lbs. of force during physical restraint procedures, and have good vision and hearing abilities.
**Education and Experience:**
High School Diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with developmental and/or behavior challenges preferred.
**Language Skills:**
Ability to read, write, and interpret English documents, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
**Mathematical Skills:**
Basic math skills required, including the ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
**Reasoning Ability:**
Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables.
**Work Environment:**
This role may involve moderate noise levels and exposure to changing weather conditions while using an automobile for travel.
**Location:**
The position covers Wolcott, Waterbury, Watertown, and Naugatuck.
Salary : $17 - $18
