Sat. 11 : 00pm-7 : 00am
17.25 an hour plus benefits
18.25 an hour plus 16 hours of PTO once med certification is completed
Job Summary :
We are currently seeking a Direct Support Professional for a part-time overnight shift position at Jenta Lane in Watertown, CT. The role involves providing habilitative assistance and care to clients in various programs, including community and supported living arrangements, family support services, and day / vocational programs. Responsibilities include direct daily care, teaching, supervising clients, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities :
Provide direct supervision to ensure client safety and well-being.
Assist in developing and implementing individualized plans for clients.
Monitor client progress and implement behavioral plans.
Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve client goals.
Maintain thorough and timely record-keeping.
Administer medications and provide health care as needed.
Ensure program sites are clean and organized.
Transport clients to activities and programs.
Participate in emergency drills and other required duties.
Qualifications :
Completion of Medication Certification Program.
Training in PMT, CPR, and First Aid.
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory record.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferably 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental challenges or equivalent education / experience.
Physical Demands :
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and exert force when necessary.
Must be able to engage in physical restraint procedures.
Capable of standing, walking, sitting, and using hands and arms efficiently.
Good vision and ability to adjust focus.
Language Skills :
Proficiency in reading and interpreting English documents.
Ability to write reports and correspondence in English.
Mathematical Skills :
Proficiency in basic arithmetic.
Reasoning Ability :
Able to follow instructions and solve problems effectively.
