Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance, with an emphasis on both residential and commercial spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness.
- Carry out custodial duties such as dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Conduct floor care activities including buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Engage in residential painting projects when required, demonstrating attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with floor care processes, including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting and moving items as needed.
- A positive attitude with a commitment to providing excellent service in maintaining clean facilities.
