Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and skilled Foster Parent Liaison to act as a vital link between foster parents, case managers, and Citrus. This role will ensure effective communication, provide support, and help foster parents navigate the foster care process. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving the foster care experience by fostering strong relationships between all parties involved and addressing any concerns or needs as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for foster parents, case managers, and Citrus, ensuring smooth communication and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication between foster parents and case managers to ensure the needs of children in care are met.
- Advocate for foster parents by listening to their concerns, offering resources, and ensuring their voices are heard.
- Support case managers in ensuring foster parents are informed about case plans, progress, and any changes affecting their foster children.
- Assist foster parents in understanding their roles and responsibilities, providing guidance on documentation, expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate meetings and conferences between foster parents and case managers, ensuring that all necessary parties are involved and that discussions are productive.
- Monitor foster parent satisfaction and identify any barriers or challenges they are facing; work with the team to address these issues in a timely and respectful manner.
- Track and report on foster parent needs and provide feedback to management and Citrus, contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the foster care system.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and Citrus regulations and policies related to foster care.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in social services, child welfare, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships between multiple parties.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address and resolve concerns or conflicts in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- A deep understanding of foster care policies, procedures, and the challenges faced by foster parents.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field (preferred but not required).
