Full Case Manager Supervisor

Description

  • First time Supervisors to complete all required supervisory training.
  • Shadow existing Supervisor to gain knowledge of role as a Full Case Manager Supervisor.
  • Ensures that all Full Case Managers are in compliance with all statutory and legal requirements of case management as well as all court orders and requirements.
  • Ensures that all Full Case Managers are properly trained and able to represent the Agency in all court proceedings as well as legal staffings with Children’s Legal Services (CLS) attorneys, staffings with Lead Agency and staffings with other necessary personnel and/or entity whose collaboration is necessary for the best interests of the client;
  • Ensures that all court documents are reviewed for completeness and accuracy before being submitted to the FRC Attorneys and to CLS within the timeframes required by management.
  • Ensures that all monthly home visits are properly performed and documented in the proper venue for each client;
  • Ensures that all Unit Court Tracker are updated on a bi-monthly basis;
  • Ensures that all necessary reports such a Judicial Review Social Study Reports (JRSSR) are provided to the CLS attorneys on a timely basis for review and signature;
  • Ensures that all necessary documentation is properly entered into FSFN including but not limited to all case closures, judicial reviews, visitation reports, and other reports as required by Lead Agency contract;
  • As needed, Supervisors shall transport clients. 
  • Supervisors must have serviceable vehicle available for planned and unplanned transportation.
  • Supervisors must have a valid Driver’s License.
  • Assists Full Case Managers with case management and all client related issues;
  • Meets with Full Case Managers on a weekly basis in order to evaluate their performance and provides guidance as needed;
  • Ensures that you are available to staff in case of emergencies after 5:00 p.m.
  • Timely completes all assignments as requested by the Director of Full Case Management and/or other Administrative staff;
  • Serves as liaison in their areas of specialization, for example, Missing Children, Adoptions, Independent Living, Human Trafficking, and Drug Court;
  • Serves as point of contact for Daycare and Child Protection Team providers.
  • Proficient in safety methodology as prescribed by the Florida Practice Model and Lead Agency Contract.
  • Has working knowledge and understanding of all cases within their unit.
  • Ensures supervisory consults occur every 90 days and critical junctures as defined by the Florida Practice Model.
  • Ensures supervisory reviews occur every 90 days.
  • Identifies performance and/or knowledge deficiencies within their unit in order to identify training needs.
  • Participate in all On-Call Duties and responsibilities as On-Call Supervisor with assigned Unit.
  • Complies with all JCAHO and COA standards and regulations;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in social work from an accredited college or university or related area of study and four years of experience in human services or child welfare programs may be substituted. 
  • Extensive knowledge of the Full Case Management and Dependency System in Miami- Dade County, Florida.
  • Familiarity with the Child Welfare Dependency System in Miami Dade County. Familiarity with Child Welfare and Child Welfare related computer programs.

 

Starting Salary: Starting Pay - $66,000.00 USD/Annually Benefits

Certification/License:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving history
  • Must currently be certified with the Florida Board of Certification as a CWCM.

Performance/Proficiency Standards:

  • Arrives and leaves work on time
  • Participates in 3 months of Supervisory Development Training.
  • Attends all company mandatory trainings and required meetings
  • Performs according to the Agency’s objectives 100% of the time
  • Communicates with Administration and Full Case Management Staff in a professional and timely manner
  • Adheres and complies with all Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) Standards
  • FRC Management shall review the FCM's Driving Record intermittently and make a determination about the acceptability of his/her Driving Record. Failure by the FCM to disclose problems in one's Driving Record may result in Suspension without pay or Termination of employment.

 

    Skills/Abilities:

    • Must be computer literate and able to use all case management electronic systems.
    • Must have good listening, communication, and writing skills.
    • Must be willing to learn.
    • Must be willing and able to work well with others and cooperate in the sharing of resources and information to obtain the final work product.
