This position is responsible for both administrative tasks and the provision of client services. The individual holding this position ensures quality services to clients, adherence to funder requirements through the supervision and training of staff, regular and rigorous review of documentation with a focus on compliance and high standards. This position may also be responsible for direct client service as determined based on need.
The Clinical Supervisor is expected to function independently at multiple site locations. Work is reviewed primarily through regular conferences, work audits and supervision. Initiative and time management skills are vital to this role.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Hires qualified candidates to accomplish strategic goals, deliverables and quality standards of counseling, care management and support services.
- Provides individual supervision to counselors at multiple locations.
- Assists in the professional and clinical development of staff to ensure sound clinical practices, ethics, and integrity within the program.
- Ensures that all required funder trainings are met annually by clinical and case management staff across programs.
- Exhibit innovation and exploration by presenting to executive leadership new training opportunities that promote higher quality programming.
- Responsible for the development, implementation and consistent application of all shelter group curriculum annually.
- Evaluates service models and pursues Evidenced Based Practices and effective implementation with programs.
- Maintains certification of all implemented models of care to enhance leadership with staff and ensure continuity and consistency of care across programs.
- Ensures that the agency meets and exceeds all programmatic and funder expectations and services are high performing.
- Adheres to high ethical standards in developing and implementing service components in therapeutic programs.
- Reviews and approves all group lesson plans in the residential and counseling programs.
- Ensures that key performance indicators (KPI's) are met as assigned.
- Completes annual performance evaluations on all direct reports annually.
- Assists with the CINSFINS case staffing process, as needed, included but not limited to running case staffing, assisting with court documentation to support a petition and attending court.
- Facilitates Care Team meetings at assigned locations.
- Maintains a caseload of clients and ensures completeness of youth records
- Attends community meetings as required to further promote and expand upon agency services
- Provides pre-service training to staff.
- Participates with risk management, safety, and staff development as assigned.
- Maintains positive working relationships with DJJ, DCF, courts, schools, law enforcement and other community partners.
- Participates in local and state organizations related to Family Resources' mission as requested.
- Addresses any direct report program personnel, performance or staffing issues or concerns.
- Participates in the Quality Improvement Team and coordinates quality improvement functions and other agency committees as requested.
- Is responsible for compliance with data collection systems and processes to ensure proper oversight and effectiveness of program.
- Must be willing to work on at least one weekend day and non-traditional hours when needed.
- Other job responsibilities as requested.

- Must have the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including clients, staff, professional and community persons.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills, well developed verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to effectively deal with complex issues.
- Must maintain a high degree of professionalism and reliability within areas of responsibility by providing leadership, direction, motivation, and training.
- Should possess characteristics that show sound judgment in fulfilling position duties and responsibilities as well as a cooperative attitude in working relationships with executive leadership.
- The possession of a personal cellular phone is required for use in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Must have valid Florida Driver's License and auto insurance for personal vehicle and a clean driving history.
- This position requires travel throughout Pinellas County.
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field.
Must hold a valid license in the state of Florida as an LMHC, LCSW or LMFT.
A minimum of three years of individual, group and family counseling experience.
