Reporting to the Director, System Reform and Implementation, the Senior Manager will lead and oversee multiple teams driving implementation of the YJ Act across Youth Justice community and custodial operations – as well as leading coordination with partner justice agencies and across the Victorian Government.
The role operates within a complex and dynamic environment and presents candidates with the opportunity to deliver critical and enduring reforms to Victoria's Youth Justice system, based on world's best practice.

The Opportunity
- Ongoing, full-time position based in Melbourne.
- VPS Grade 6 role: $134,593 - $180,115 per year plus superannuation.
- Lead the delivery of project management, as well as high-quality briefings, reports and strategic advice for senior DJCS executives, the DJCS Secretary and Ministers.
- Oversee and lead stakeholder consultation, communication and governance for YJ Act implementation across DJCS and partner justice agencies, including Victoria Police, the Children's Court of Victoria, CSV, DFFH, VLA, other departments and funded community service providers.
- Lead the development of supporting legal instruments, such as regulations and delegations, that underpin the YJ Act as well as supporting the development/updating of policies and procedures and training on the reforms.
