FSH HealthCorps Program Coordinator
Family Scholar House is committed to building resilience and equipping individuals with training and experience to pursue careers in healthcare. By partnering with healthcare facilities in rural and urban areas, the FSH HealthCorps program addresses workforce shortages in a sustainable way. The FSH HealthCorps program places members into facilities to perform supplemental services in various roles to gain work-based learning opportunities and increase the capacity of the site to give better care to patients. Consistent with our mission, we aim to prepare participants for entering the workforce or continuing their healthcare career education.
Host Site Development: The focus of the FSH HealthCorps Program Coordinator is to support participants through the enrollment process and during their service, as well as facilitate partner relationships with our healthcare facilities where participants are placed (known as host sites). Hospitals and long-term care facilities make up the majority of host sites in the program. The Program Coordinator will assist host sites in navigating policies and supporting participants.
Participant Recruitment: The FSH HealthCorps Program Coordinator will give presentations to students at partner high schools and colleges about the program. The Program Coordinator will have regular support sessions with participants. Sessions will include support for enhanced personal goal setting, financial management, and crisis management.
Program Sustainability: The FSH HealthCorps Program Coordinator will assist in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating the grants process, assuring compliance with accepted principles, standards, and procedures.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficiency with technology, especially computers, and software applications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to coach, train, and motivate members
- Excellent problem solving, leadership, and customer service skills
- Analytical, efficient, and thorough
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure and navigate tense situations
- Occasional weekend and evening hours

- Familiar with Salesforce

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
