The Integrated Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder (MH / SUD) Treatment Manager will facilitate the development and ongoing operations of the agency’s substance use treatment program. This position will coordinate and establish the provision of integrated MH / SUD treatment services to youth and adolescents throughout the agency by establishing and implementing policies and procedures that are in compliance with state regulatory authorities. This position will provide individual, family and group therapy to youth and their families. The Integrated MH / SUD treatment manager serves as a liaison with other area treatment providers; enhances coordination between organizations; provides clinical consultation to the agency for co-occurring mental health and substance-related disorders and treatment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Actively promotes and aids in the development of FSGC’s co-occurring disorder Treatment Program, to include potential recruitment of appropriate clients, staff, funding sources and integration of required paperwork / procedures related to substance use disorder treatment.
- Oversee the day to day operations of the SUD outpatient and Integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders (ITCOD) program.
- Provides supervision to Licensed Addiction counselors and program staff.
- Manage referrals for SUD assessments as well as individual, family group therapy for individuals referred to the program.
- Serves as a liaison with other area / regional substance use treatment providers; links services and enhance coordination between organizations for mutual clients.
- Regularly meets with internal teams to provide information on Substance Use Disorders and treatment. services including clinical consultation and supervision with regard to substance-related disorders.
- Participates in or lead training for staff related to substance-related disorders.Support and actively promote the vision and mission of Family Service and Guidance Center.
- Respects and demonstrates the ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Serve as an ambassador, consistently upholding a professional and personal image by demonstrating responsible behavior regarding alcohol consumption and strictly avoiding tobacco use and illegal substances.
- Actively support local and agency initiatives focused on substance use prevention, including tobacco cessation programs and efforts to enhance staff and employee awareness of the personal and professional impacts of alcohol and drug use.
- Represents FSGC as a member of the Kansas Association of Addiction Professionals (KAAP) as designated by the Chief Clinical Officer
- Insure compliance with appropriate State (and other, as appropriate) certification / licensure regarding substance abuse treatment.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration between agency departments specifically Crisis, Psychiatry and outpatient therapy services .
