Role Overview
As a Board member, you will play an essential role in providing strategic direction, oversight, and guidance to help ensure the continued success and growth of Family Service. This volunteer opportunity allows you to contribute to a meaningful cause while impacting the lives of those in need throughout Bucks County.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and actively engage in Board meetings (held monthly or as scheduled)
- Collaborate with fellow Board members and leadership to set organizational priorities and strategic goals
- Offer advice and oversight to ensure resources are effectively used in alignment with our mission and vision
- Act as an ambassador for Family Service in the community, supporting fundraising efforts and resource development
- Provide your expertise to strengthen the organization’s governance, financial health, and operations
Ideal Candidate:
- A passion for helping the local community and improving the lives of those in need
- Experience in non-profit governance, business, law, or finance is a plus, though not required
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to make thoughtful, informed decisions
- A commitment to the mission and vision of Family Service Association of Bucks County
- Previous board experience is a plus, but not necessary
