This is a Part-Time Position that will report to Saratoga Elementary School.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
School Site Duties
- Implement direct programming according to and consistent with Family Service Lincoln's mission and program philosophy.
- Provides direct interaction with youth, in small and large groups, while monitoring the total environment.
- Implement daily activities in an engaging and inclusive manner that encourages participation.
- Implement a daily schedule that is flexible for spontaneous learning opportunities
- Ensure that all program areas (indoor and outdoor) are clean, organized, and safe.
- Communicate and interact with youth and families in positive ways.
- Encourage youth to make responsible choices in line with Family Service Lincoln and site expectations.
- Help provide and nurture a family-centered program.
- Maintain the safety and security of youth at all times.
- Communicate, cooperate, and be respectful of fellow team members.
Administrative/Program Duties
- Implement accreditation, licensing, contract, and agency partnership standards.
- Complete necessary paperwork on time.
- Attend team meetings or staff development opportunities.
- Attend Weekly Site Supervisor Meetings.
- Complete performance evaluations and supervise teacher Assistants.
Cultural Sensitivity
Embraces and displays sensitivity relative to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the agency's service population.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates or Bachelors Degree in a related field; 1-2 years of previous experience working with children.
OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:
Basic Life Support (CPR) and Basic First Aid certification required at time of employment or to be completed within 60 days of start of employment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Characterized as medium work requiring exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
