We are seeking a qualified Child Development Support Professional for the Smart Start program, requiring the individual to work full-time. This role involves conducting home visits twice a week to support positive family dynamics.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Undertake a minimum of 16 hours of initial training under the supervision of a designated expert.
- Engage with families in their homes, focusing on enhancing relationships and interaction styles with young children and their caregivers.
- Document all interactions and progress on a weekly basis.
- Regularly participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent, coupled with extensive experience in human services (at least five years), is compulsory.
- A relevant bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of direct experience in supporting young children and their parents in a community-based setting is essential.
- Strong familiarity with the served community is a must.
- Excellent proficiency in computer software, specifically Microsoft Office, is necessary.
