About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled Social Worker for our Mental Health Clinic in Mastic. As a key member of our team, you will provide evaluations, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention to children, families, and adults with a range of DSM diagnoses.
You will work in a trauma-informed, culturally competent manner, delivering services that cater to the diverse needs of our clients. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us achieve our mission of transforming lives and communities.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess clients' behavioral health needs, developing personalized treatment plans to address their unique challenges.
- Provide individual and family therapy to children aged 5 and up, adolescents, and adults, using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Crisis intervention during scheduled work hours as needed, ensuring timely support for clients experiencing mental health emergencies.
- Document clinical interactions accurately and thoroughly, adhering to OMH standards in our electronic medical record.
Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Social Work required, with LMSW, LCSW, or Limited Permit preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral health setting, with clinic experience being an asset.
- Prior experience diagnosing using the DSM V and implementing behavioral/therapeutic interventions for diverse age groups.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records, are essential for this role.
