If you desire to work with a long-standing community based program invested in maintaining relationships between parents and children, we have an opportunity for you! We are seeking an engaging and positive individual to provide services as a Family Time Specialist at the Family Access Center.
In this role you will provide supports to families by ensuring children have safe interactions with their parents and families. You will do this by fathering information from social workers, children, parents, relatives and other sources, by engaging in conversations that include schedule details, location, transportation, supervision level and safety plans. You will partner with social workers, families and others to develop parenting/family time plans as well as document observation notes and prepare written reports regarding progress on family time plan goals.
You will supervise parenting and family time between parents/family members and their child(ren) in an office, home or, community setting. You will maintain a safe environment during interactions so that children and physically and emotionally safe. You will also provide appropriate coaching and redirection to those involved.
Eligible candidates must have two (2) years of post-secondary education in human services or related field, or equivalent training, education and experience. You must have reliable transportation and the flexibility to work a varied schedule to respond to client needs. Computer proficiency is a must.
