Position Summary:
The Engagement Specialist supports Fernbrook Family Center’s outreach, marketing, and recruitment efforts. This role is responsible for maintaining social media accounts, developing partnerships, engaging with potential clients, and providing administrative support to ensure a welcoming and efficient office environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory duties. However, the Engagement Specialist is expected to collaborate closely with leadership, managers, and Human Resources staff to ensure consistent communication and alignment across departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Fernbrook Feature marketing campaigns.

Create and distribute weekly newsletters with relevant organizational updates.

Design and share content across platforms, including flyers, blog posts, and promotional materials.

Lead marketing efforts for the DT program and other internal initiatives.

Manage content and engagement on social media and job platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake).

Provide administrative support, including greeting clients, managing calls, and maintaining a professional office environment.

Coordinate the production and distribution of signage and branded materials.
-
Assist with website updates and ensure brand consistency across offices.

Conduct office visits to assess and improve branding, accessibility, and presentation.

Capture and manage staff photos for marketing use.
-
Plan, coordinate, and attend job/resource fairs.
-
Encourage and coordinate staff involvement in outreach events.
-
Represent Fernbrook at community events and on internal committees.

Support recruitment of therapists, interns, and staff through strategic outreach.

Manage distribution of promotional swag (e.g., anniversary and FFC shirts).

Build and maintain professional relationships through outreach and collaboration.

Engage with chambers of commerce, providers, and other networks.

Assist teams with internal engagement activities and team-building efforts.

Serve as an ambassador for Fernbrook’s mission, values, and culture.

Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:

Physical Demands:

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

Flexible hours typically between 7:00am – 7:00pm

Travel required between Fernbrook offices and community locations across Minnesota

Salaried staff: 40 hours/week, with flexibility as needed for projects/events

Hourly staff: Up to 40 hours/week; overtime must be pre-approved by supervisor
Education and Experience:
Required:

Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and acceptable driving record

Must pass a criminal background check per agency and DHS guidelines
Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or 2–3 years related experience
