JOB SUMMARY: The Youth Partnership Coach/Outreach will be responsible for carrying out the Youth Partnership mission to provide social, recreational, empowerment, leadership and community service opportunities in supportive environment to youth affected by emotional, behavioral, intellectual, developmental, substance abuse and mental health challenges. The Youth Partnership Coach/Outreach assists the Outreach Coordinator in various ways to support in resources, workshops, and other outreach duties. This position reports directly to the Outreach Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Youth Partnership Coach (50%)
  • Facilitating our weekly youth groups for youth ages 13-21 who experience behavioral, emotional, developmental, intellectual, mental health or substance abuse challenges both virtual and/or in-person
  • Build and maintain supportive relationships with parents and guardians of Youth Partnership Members
  • Assist youth with support, education, and advocacy so they can sufficiently understand and sustain their personal goals and livelihoods
  • Supervise and designate assignments to the Assistant and Junior Youth Coaches
  • Responsible for chaperoning all Youth Partnership events and activities
  • Coordinate the assignment of chaperones for the YP trips/events/activities with the Outreach Coordinator
  • Responsible for following the Youth Partnership calendar as submitted by the Outreach Coordinator
  • Coordinates all refreshments, and supplies for the Youth Partnership Program with the Outreach Coordinator
  • Assists with the organization and set up/clean-up for both Youth Partnership, Outreach and FSO-HSW Community Events.
  • Administrative Duties (30%)
  • Review and evaluates all Youth Partnership applicants
  • Submits weekly YP staff schedules to the Outreach Coordinator for approval
  • Creates detailed weekly agendas for Youth Partnership Program
  • Reviews attendance sheets and submits them for each Youth Partnership Meeting
  • Maintains and records attendance and time numbers for state reporting
  • Provide written feedback to the Outreach Coordinator on all social trips and community service experiences.
  • Reviews employee time sheets, organizing Youth Partnership applications, incident reports, trip forms, and other essential documents.
  • Trains Youth Partnership staff with the Outreach Coordinator
  • Attends all required trainings and meetings as designated by the Outreach Coordinator and/or Executive Director
  • Any additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director and/or Outreach Coordinator.
  • Outreach (20%)
  • Support and assists the Outreach Coordinator in all outreach aspects
  • Assist in obtaining guest speakers and other duties as assigned by the Outreach Coordinator.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • A valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and current certificate of car insurance as one will be traveling to Hunterdon, Somerset & Warren Counties.
  • Recreational, events, and/or program experience is recommended.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Accurate and meticulous note-taker in complex situations
  • Capable of demonstrating empathy in interactions with youth
  • Flexible enough to adjust to a constantly shifting environment and schedule
  • Time Management and Organization in a Rapidly Changing Setting
  • Effectively collaborating with colleagues in a team setting

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS: This position is comprised of sitting (20%), driving (30%), and program/activity work (50%).

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This job is an in-person position at our Washington Location building located at 315 W Washington Ave, Washington, NJ 07882. Normal working hours will be from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The hours in this position are unpredictable and shifting of normal working hours are likely to include nights, and weekends to support Outreach/Youth Partnership needs. This job does not allow for remote work, unless otherwise specified by the Executive Director and/or their designee.

SALARY RANGES: The salary range for this position is $28,000 yearly at $21.54/per hour at 25 hrs. per week.
