Job Summary
Direct responsibility for all front-end customer service contact, obtaining placement requests and providing support to foster parents. Capture and record all requests accurately, conduct an initial assessment of needs and information collection, and route requests to appropriate personnel within the Placement team. Support other personnel in the process of securing appropriate placements for dependent children and in completion of administrative duties. Facilitate placement stability through crisis intervention and prevention of entry through coordination with Kinship Services/Family Finding. Track due dates for over-capacity assessments and Enhanced Rate staffings, coordinating follow-up.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide friendly and caring customer contact to foster parents, Child Protective Investigators, Dependency Case Managers, FSS staff, and other stakeholders when contacted with inquiry or service request. Capture and record all requests accurately, conduct initial assessment of needs and information collection, and route requests to appropriate personnel within the Placement team. Facilitate placement stability through crisis intervention and prevention of entry through coordination with Kinship Services/Family Finding. Maintain placement rotation and ensure fair and accurate event assignment. Identify opportunities for youth voice in decision-making.
- Support other personnel in the process of securing appropriate placements for dependent children and in completion of administrative duties. Track due dates for over-capacity assessments and Enhanced Rate staffings, coordinating follow up and scheduling as requested. Assist with collection, tracking, and follow up on Child Placement Agreements, Exit Interviews, & FSC Review of FP forms as requested.
- Provide back up as needed for Placement Specialists.
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
- At least one year experience working with at risk children and families, preferably as a Case Manager or Child Protective Investigator. Preference given to candidates with experience in Placement and Florida child welfare data systems.
- Child Welfare Professional certification preferred.
Schedule & Hours
Flexible Schedule Monday-Friday typically 8:30am-5pm
